Policy and Structure

Climate change damages the natural environment and ecosystems. It also causes extreme weather and epidemics in some cases. We recognize that addressing the risks to all lives posed by climate change is a priority. The Mizkan Group will work as one to reduce CO₂ emissions and prevent global warming.

We are making a company-wide effort to reduce CO₂ emissions. Production and logistics are especially energy intensive, so we are focusing on improving eco-efficiency in a way that is suited to each field. When we redeveloped our head office, we made use of our location along the river, and put in place systems and technologies to reduce CO2 emissions.

We will put in place an effective company-wide structure with alignment between relevant departments.

Targets and Progress

The Mizkan Group will do its part to prevent further global warming by launching various mid- to long-term initiatives to reduce CO₂ emissions.
